The exposition of the Museum consists of several sections. The first section tells us about parents and brothers of Nikolai Lobachevsky, his studies at the gymnasium and University, his foreign professors and their impact on Lobachevsky, about the pedagogical, administrative and social activities of Lobachevsky, his family and descendants.
The recreated fragment of Lobachevski’s office presents documentary materials and books, and the interior is presented furniture of the XIX century.
The next section is devoted to the scientific activity of Nikolai Lobachevsky and the idea of non-Euclidean geometry, its development by Karl Gauss and Janos Boyaly; the formation of non-Euclidean geometry after Lobachevsky; the history of the formation and development of the geometric school of Kazan University and its prominent representatives.
In one of the halls of the Museum recreates the atmosphere of the blue living room in the Lobachevsky’s house, which was used for recreation and reception for guests. The exposition of this hall tells about the history of the establishment of the international competition - the Lobachevsky prize and the prize winners.
The exposition of the Museum is completed by the library of the Geometric study. Here, in the bookcases again placed the famous library, which was collected for a century, contains lifetime editions of Lobachevsky, books with autographs of the prize winners, the archive of the physical and mathematical society of Kazan University.
The Museum has an exhibition hall consisting of three rooms. In the future, these halls will feature other exhibitions: historical, natural science, technical, artistic.
